Stella Klauhs is an entrepreneur and the CEO of Peninsula Press, a global media agency with offices in Washington, DC, Madrid, and Lisbon, working in association with Foreign Policy magazine. Over the last fifteen years, the brand has stood out for the high quality of the reports and services it offers in a wide range of countries.
Of dual nationality (Brazil and Australia), Stella Klauhs graduated from the Sydney Institute of Technology, where she specialized in international trade. She speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and French. During her professional career, Klauhs has worked on various projects published in journals such as US News & World Report, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Paris Match, the Miami Herald, theNew York Times, and Le Monde.
Peninsula Press’s most recent projects include the investment forums organized under the company’s Investment Outreach brand, such as the events on Myanmar and Monterrey held in New York in 2014. Peninsula Press attracted prestigious figures including George Soros, John Paulson, and Jorge Mariscal to take part in these events.
Andrés Ortega Klein

Writer, consultant, analyst, and journalist, Andrés Ortega Klein has twice occupied the role of director-general of the Research and Analysis Department of the Spanish Prime Minister’s Office (1994–1996 and 2008–2011). He has written editorials and columns for El País, and was the first director of the Spanish edition of Foreign Policy. Klein is currently director of the Observatorio de las Ideas and Senior Research Fellow at the Elcano Royal Institute. He is a member of the Council of the European Council on Foreign Relations (EFCR). Born in 1954, and of dual nationality (France and Spain), he studied at the Liceo Francés in Madrid (baccalaureate in mathematics and physics). Klein holds a degree in political science from the Complutense University of Madrid and a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics (LSE), where his studies were funded by a grant from the Fundación Juan March.
From 1980 to 1988 he worked at El País as a correspondent in London (1980–1982), Brussels (1983–1986), and in foreign relations (1987–1988). In 1989, Klein worked in the role of senior advisor to the minister of foreign affairs, Francisco Fernández Ordóñez. He was also director of the Research Department at Grupo Prisa from 1996 to 1999, and subsequently the director of the Debating Society of Grupo Prisa and the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid.
Klein is the author of various books, including: La razón de Europa (1995); La fuerza de los pocos (2007); and ¿Qué nos ha pasado? El fallo de un país (2012), coauthored with A. Pascual-Ramsay, on the multiple crises experienced by Spain in recent years. His most recent book, written in collaboration with Agenda Pública, is titled Recomponer la democracia (2014). He has also published a novel, Sin alma (2012).
